Dear colleagues and friends,

The International Symposium on Neuroprotection and Neurorepair (ISN&N) is back!

After a break of 6 years due to the Covid-19 pandemic and its consequences, we cordially invite you to join us for the 11th International Symposium on Neuroprotection and Neurorepair (ISN&N). The meeting will take place from November 18 to November 20, 2024 in Potsdam, Germany. We are delighted to announce that the 11th ISN&N will join with the 18th International Conference on Brain Edema and Cellular Injury. This combination will further augment the scientific content of our meeting and bring together researchers from related disciplines.

Like for previous meetings, we chose a special location for the 2024 ISN&N meeting. We will meet in Potsdam, the old residence city of the Prussian kings. Potsdam is situated directly South-West of Germany’s most vibrant city and capital, Berlin. Potsdam has a rich cultural history and is characterized by extensive parks and many famous historical buildings such as the world-famous Sanssouci summer palace of King Frederick the Great, the baroque New Palace, and the Babelsberg Castle, just to name a few. Due to this, Potsdam is a leading World Heritage site.

We will meet at the Kongresshotel Potsdam, a conference center with a 4-star hotel that is directly situated at the Lake Templin. It is built on the area of the former Potsdam airship harbor and architectonically resembles the giant Zeppelin airships. The impressive building complex also features a beautiful garden as well as unique items reminding us of the glorious time of Zeppelin airship travel.

In continuation of the successful past ISN&N meetings, the scientific focus of the 2024 meeting will be on cerebral ischemia and brain hemorrhage, neurotrauma, neurodegeneration as well as related disciplines including cell biology and imaging. Together, we will learn about and discuss the most recent and exciting findings from fundamental and translational neuroscience, as well as diagnostic and therapeutic developments from the clinics.

The 2024 ISN&N will again provide a strong platform for contributions from our community. Next to keynote presentations by outstanding international speakers, there will be mini-symposia organized by participants, as well as additional slots for oral presentations from delegates. We will also feature ample time for discussions and scientific exchange while at the same time exploring new opportunities such as Posters.

We are currently setting up an exciting program for you, which will soon become available online!
